Fantasy Draft Simulation Platform

Project Overview

Mock Ball is a fantasy draft simulation app designed to help players practice and prepare for best ball contests using live Average Draft Position (ADP) data. The platform was built to replicate real draft environments across multiple formats, enabling users to test strategies, understand player value, and gain confidence before entering paid drafts.

The goal of the project was to create a fast, responsive drafting experience that stayed synchronized with real-world ADP shifts, while remaining flexible enough to support different draft sites, scoring systems, and contest structures. Mock Ball serves as both a standalone practice tool and a foundational component within a broader fantasy drafting workflow.

My Role

  • Draft Simulation & Logic Design
  • Designed and implemented the core draft simulation logic, including pick sequencing, roster constraints, positional rules, and real-time player availability.
  • Live ADP Integration
  • Built systems to ingest and apply up-to-date ADP data, ensuring draft behavior closely mirrored real best ball draft rooms as values shifted throughout the season.
  • Strategy Testing & Practice Workflows
  • Structured the platform to support rapid mock drafting, enabling users to test roster builds, positional approaches, and draft strategies across repeated simulations.
  • Platform Flexibility & Extensibility
  • Developed the app with support for multiple draft sites and formats in mind, allowing MockBall to adapt to different rulesets and evolve alongside the broader fantasy ecosystem.
