Project Overview
TopLine is a real-time fantasy sports tracking tool designed to monitor live game data and translate it into up-to-the-moment fantasy scoring across multiple platforms and scoring systems. The project was created to give users immediate visibility into how live games impact fantasy outcomes as they unfold.
In addition to live fantasy point tracking, TopLine calculates the current “optimal lineup” for a given slate based on active games, scoring rules, and salary constraints. This allows users to understand not only how their own lineups are performing, but also what the mathematically strongest lineup looks like at any moment during live play.
My Role
- Live Scoring & Data Processing
Designed systems to process live game data and convert it into accurate fantasy scoring across different platforms and scoring formats.
- Optimal Lineup Calculation
Implemented real-time lineup optimization logic that evaluates player performance, salary constraints, and roster rules to surface the current best possible lineup in-progress.
- Game & Slate Filtering
Built tools to isolate specific games or slates, allowing users to zoom in on relevant matchups and track fantasy impact in real time.
- User-Focused Live Monitoring
Structured the interface and data flow to prioritize clarity and responsiveness, enabling users to quickly understand shifts in fantasy value as games progress.
